I interviewed Mr. Skonecki.

Mr. Skonecki grew up in Milwaukee, near Hamilton High School. His parents were strict when they needed to be, but also gave him room to grow up. He remembers a lot from his childhood very vividly. He remembers that on his walk home from school, there was a sniper in a second story building who would shoot at kids. He was successful in shooting about 3, but nobody died. He also remembers the time of the Cold War very vividly. He described it as "a very, very scary time." You never knew when something was going to happen in your town. Growing up, he said high school "wasn't much different than it is today." You had your cliques, and everybody had their friends. He noted that fashion was way different. He lived through the bell bottom jeans phase, all the way into the belly baring, big hair phase. Overall, I was really happy with my interview with Mr. Skonecki.
